   Our trainer's sights are set on empowering you with the confidence to work with your dog in practical situations through strong communication. We only take 3 to 5 dogs at a time and usually have a wait list of 3-4 weeks out. During your dog's continuous stay of 2, 3, 4 or 6 weeks, we will build skills and apply them to real life scenarios that they will take with them when they return home.

3 Week : Reinforcement

 

Your Dog will be taught:

  • Everything covered in Basic Obedience

  • Public settings like cafes, stores or vet

  • Recall with distractions

  • Sit-Stay (for at least 5 minutes

  • Proper Vehicle Travel

  • Busy families or professionals

  • Anyone who wants a wonderfully-behaved dog

  • First-time dog owners

Program Expectations

 

    Our most popular program teaches your dog everything they need to be a wonderful, polite, obedient companion.  It includes plenty of proofing and follow-up training to make sure that the lessons last.  Your dog gets to spend extra time working with our non-training staff so that they learn to listen even if your technique is a little sloppy.

2 Week : Basic Obedience

 

Your Dog will be trained on:

  • Sit-Position

  • Heel or Stay

  • Polite Leash Walking & Greeting

  • Destructive Chewing

  • Play Biting

Best Suited for

  • People who have trained a dog before, but don’t have time to do the early foundation training themselves

  • People who will be actively using their training on a regular basis after board and train (e.g. therapy dogs, taking your dog to work, taking your dog to stores, restaurants, etc.)

  • People who want to do some of the training themselves, but have an out of control dog and need help getting started

Program Expectations

 

    We will teach your furball all the basic manners and obedience commands that you need to have a well-behaved dog.  You'll have a little more work to do when your dog comes home than clients in most of our programs, because 2 weeks doesn't cover all the practice around a variety of distractions to make sure they're well equipped to listen to people whose implementation may be less precise than our trainers.

4 Week : Learn n' Return

 

This Program Offers:

  • Everything covered in Basic Obedience + Reinforcement Program

  • Emphasis on making the training stick by incorporating a break in the middle of our stay

Best Suited for

  • Large families, families with very young kids, people who travel frequently, anyone who might have trouble consistently enforcing new rules

  • People with very ambitious training goals

  • Very difficult dogs

​

Program Expectations

 

    We can teach your dog wonderful behaviors, but you have to consistently enforce the rules when they come home.  We start off by taking your dog for 2 weeks to train them on our Basic Obedience program.  Your dog then returns home for 2-3 weeks where we'll continue with  2 Private Lessons with your family.  This time at home allows us to see which methods your family enforces and where you need a little extra help.  Your dog then joins us for another 2 weeks so that we can rigorously work on their problem areas we noticed.  When your dog comes home finally, the job of regular correction will be much easier.  Our trainer will return for 2 more Private Lessons to assure your success.

6 Week : Boot Camp

 

This Program Offers:

  • Everything covered in Basic Obedience + Reinforcement Program

  • Three 2-week sessions

  • Multiple visits from our trainer to ensure success

Best Suited for

  • People who travel frequently and want to provide a stable environment for their dog that will maintain good behaviors. Many of our Boot Camp clients board their dogs with us as often as once a month, and we polish up their training each time for free.

  • People who take a long trip overseas every year (or more often)

Program Expectations

 

    This program follows the exact same course and guidelines as the similar 4-week Learn n' Return Program but with the added bonus of being able to return for training classes and follow up private lessons for life for free! Access to "The Pack", where once or twice a month a group of Bridge Of The Paws members get together for socialization and pack get togethers.  Stays are split up into three 2-week sessions.  Private lessons are held at your home or in a public place to further work on your dog's training at your leisure in between boarding.
